Athena in Action:  A Networking and Mentoring Workshop for Graduate Student Women in Philosophy brings together a group of graduate students with a group of women faculty mentors for three days of substantive philosophical discussion and professional advice sessions. Participants benefit from getting to know the other talented graduate students and the faculty members, and from hearing the mentors’ advice on topics of interest to women in the profession.  

The 2024 workshop will be held at the University of Notre Dame from June 24-27, 2024.

The first workshop was held August 21-24, 2014, the second August 16-19, 2016, and the third June 26-29, 2018, at Princeton University.  The fourth workshop was hosted by Cornell June 16-19, 2020 and was held online due to the pandemic. The fifth workshop was held at Rutgers University June 27-30, 2022.
